About our Founder and CEO
Dr. Melissa Moore founded ElevatED Leadership Strategies after serving more than four decades to the field of education. Dr. Moore was Superintendent of Schools in the El Segundo Unified School District for a decade and retired in 2024. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards, including Congressional Woman of Distinction, Business and Professional Women of Achievement, and ACSA Region 18 Superintendent of the Year. She was also recognized statewide as ACSA Human Resource Administrator of the Year. Beyond her role in public education, Dr. Moore has made significant contributions as a member of the League of Innovative Schools Advisory Committee and ED SAFE AI Alliance. Dr. Moore is a California native, earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), Educational Leadership from University of Southern California and is currently based in El Segundo, CA.
